Hello,

I have been trying to find Pogona Barbata or the eastern bearded dragons here in the United States. No luck..:-((
I know you cannot export out of Australia. I am just inquiring to see if any of you over there may know a breeder here in the United States that has Barbata stock currently, or another country that legally imports to the US that has Barbata stock back before it became off limits to export. Surely, there has got to be a stock somewhere in the US, but I am having a real hard time finding it.... Any suggestions, anyone??
Thank you for any information that you can provide to me.

Thanks

Hello & thanks,

I am still going to continue to pursue find a pogona barbata. You all have them everywhere over there. I just love the darker colors.

guys .... her heart is set on a barbata dont talk her out of it

Have you asked around on US forums?
It would be worth the effort finding them so dont give up, they look alot better than vitteceps IMO but arnt as 'happy' to be handled.

Thanks all

Hello,

Thanks for all of your suggestions. Unfortunately, the sandfire ranch did have some stock awhile back when they first started breeding but apparently they don't have them anymore.
I have kind of checked around quite a bit. It will just be a long process I suppose. There are some dragons here in the US that appear darker, & probobly do have some descendants of the barbata but have been bred in with the vitticeps for color too.
There may be somewhere in Europe with some stock. I have someone checking for me.
I will keep trying!! Thanks. If anyone hears anything, let me know.
Thanks, I appreciate it.
I have heard & read some interesting information about them. They can be tamed though. They tend to have a bit slower metabolism & can live longer. Don't they live in a bit cooler environment than the vitticeps?

Kingsnake may be able to help also... or the forums in the US... there will certainly be someone there who has one, or can outsource it for you.

Hello

Hello Chris!:)

I didn't know you were on this board, great to see you here.
Normally, bearded dragons sell on average for $85 or so in petstores. Breeders will sell in upwards of $200-$300 for high quality color morphs. It does vary.
What about over there, how much do they run for?
Thanks, I did go look at kingsnake, & posted just a general question. I appreciate it. We will see what comes up!

Talk to you all soon.
