i am building a 2 1/2 feet wide 3 feet tall tank for 4 frogs. the top will have a hood on it with screen underneath. but will be completely covered. is this enough ventilation?

What do you mean by completely covered? It will be probably fine, although if you use an aquarium heater it may get too humid.

completely covered

yes i will use a timber aquarium top. it is open at the back but that is where i will put the light and that will cover it.
isnt humidity good for tree frogs?

Some humidity is good... too much and you get mould growing everywhere. The wooden top should be fine though, i use similar on a couple of tanks. :)

That sounds alright.. It's better to have a fully ventilated lid (eg all fly sceen) and if it doesn't hold in enough heat you can always cover it.
