Greetings all
I know this question has been asked before, but was hoping some up-to-date views might be useful. I'm fairly new to the snake world ... apart from chatting to them happily in the wild for most of my life and playing with the odd python, I haven't had any serious hands-on experience until recently.
I run a busy, 300 acre Wildlife Rescue Centre in the central highlands of Victoria, near Marysville ... covering 4000 square kilometres on 24 hours call, and tending to dozens of animals each year. Generally, these don't include snakes, as a local friend of mine has specialised in that side of things. However, he's easing off now, and following a recent successful experience of moving a snake out of one of my animal enclosures (Tigers and baby Wombats really don't mix...) ... it seemed about time I had some professional training and made myself available for the task. As if I need more midnight phonecalls................
To which end ... I'm calling on all you experts out there and especially any licensed "controllers" who actively get out and do this every day, to recommend which is the best venomous snake handling course available in Victoria.
So please, may the suggestions roll in...
Look forward to hearing from you all.
Georgina
