Thought we would go for a little gecko collecting trip last night but it all came to a sudden halt 45 kms north of Port Hedland. This is the result of us slamming into the rear end of a cow. Needless to say, no gecko's were collected but am happy that we both walked away as this could have been far worse. Hit the moo at 110 km/h.

Awesome! lol Did you get the horns to put on the hood! or did the cow walk away with a slight headache? :)

ps Am I right in presuming you may get charged for running into the cow!? What's your insurance saying? Glad you are alright also!

you wont see many geckos on the road going 110kms!
Car doesnt look too bad, sounds like you were lucky

yeah lucky alright

may i ask how was the cow? (please don't let it be the same as in the movie me myself and irene)

Hey, thats nothing. I went on a trip with Marshall Black to WA about 15 years ago. Marshall had me stopped so he could video the sunset. After he had finished I took off at high speed straight into a large bull.
It did a judo roll across my falcons hood, into the windsrceen and then over the roof. This caused thousands of dollars worth of damage  The worst thing was while we were examing the damage the rotten bull got up without us seeing it move and disappeared without a trace

We were still heading up to the gecko area- that's why we were at that speed. Mind you, we still see geckos at that speed as a grey gecko on black bitumen does stick out. We don't hunt at that speed or on bitumen, though. The *&%#! cow took off, never to be seen again. We stopped and looked back- no cow. All that was left of it was the bit on the windscreen. Bigguy- the bulls are definitely big, so you guys had a lucky escape too. The insurance will pay up, it's just going to take a while. Shame they don't have laws that if the cows are on the road and not in the pastoral lease, the owners are liable.

110kmh, sure sure, like anyone up there drives that slow.

ive seen afew head ons with cattle up here. when it happens theres no speed limit so theres always alot of damage to the car
