Hey guys

I'm wanting to move my male EWD into an out door aviary to give him some more space. He is around 50-60cm from head to tail so he's not a baby anymore but still has plenty of growing to do.

Have any of you done this and found pros and cons i should consider?

Will he need extra heat during winter as he can't find sunny rocks to bask on if the aviary isn't in direct sun light.

Any ideas on the best placement, size, where to buy, things to consider.

Anything at all would be great to hear.

Cheers

Go as big as possible, minimum 200x60cm. Try to put in a place that gets a lot of sun, around 6-8hrs a day. You can get raised garden beds and aviaries (?) at Bunnings, if they're big enough.

Do you mean if there aren't any rocks in the sun? In Winter just give him a dry hidebox with something he can burrow into and he'll be fine.
