Hey

I just found a small weeping cut on my water monitors head.
I don't know how it happened, all branches and rocks are secured.
Just wondering what you would do?
I'll be making a few calls in the morning to some friends and vets.
My main concern is that it will be to humid/wet for it to heal quickly.

I am by no means an expert, I use betadine solution. This has a tendency to dry things out. EDP powder(has iodine in it)works brilliantly on other
animals when you want to keep wounds from staying wet. It is a human product so maybe you need to ask a vet if it would be safe? But I have
never had any problems using it on other animals. Come to think of it I used to use venetian violet(sp)an animal wound treatment on myself
it was really effective AND purple LOL

You might just need to keep it in a dry enclosure for a couple of days to give it time to heal a bit. They heal pretty quick don't they

Thanks guys he's isolated in a dry smaller enclosure.
Applied some betadene.
For those other players at home. I did call a few monitor gurus and a vet from work.
Cheers
Jannico
