I ahve two diamond pythons which I got as hatchies at the beginning of last year. The female weighs 280 grams and the male weighs 380 (the male was born earlier).

They have only just started eating the last month and before that hadn't eaten since may. Apart from that I feed them as regularly as they poo and start moving around. which is probably about every 2nd week.

I realise that some snakes are smaller but I worry that I may be stunting their growth. So my question is, is this small for their age? and should I be worried about stunting their growth?

I wouldn't let their pooing guide my feeding. If they are happy to feed, I usually feed young snakes on a weekly basis. For yearlings, that is a bit small, but snakes grow at different rates depending on food availability. If yours are only being fed fortnightly, they will be growing at half the rate of those being fed weekly. They will eventually grow bigger, just at a slower rate if you feed more slowly. If they are healthy and growing, don't stress too much.

Do you know the weight and size of parents? Are they siblings? Apart from what seem to brumation how often do you normally feed them and on what?
