what colour led's good for a enclosure

Hi all just wondering about led's what colours would be good for my enclosure as to not disturbe the snake at night i was looking at green or red does anyone know if these colours are ok thanks in advance.Ivo

A lot of people like red for night time viewing. After that it's usually dark blue. As long as it's not too bright and not on all the time just about any should do though

I've done alot of research on the subject and as saximus says red and blue are the most popular choices for night time viewing. I'm currently waiting on some LED lights and going to test a number of different colour filters including red, blue and purple. I think light intensity is probably more of a factor then the colour itself

I did try a quick test one night to see how my MD reacted to both blue and red light. With both she didn't really act any different but with the red light her pupils were still wide open but with the blue they were just slits. I just order an led strip the I can change color so I wanna test it out properly with a few extra colors this time
