What is the best turtle breed to keep outside in victoria (south gippsland)?

I am currently making an outside enclosure for turtles and wondering what the best breed to keep outdoors in victoria may be, as i need to start looking around for turtles. also if anyone knows of any for sale or free to good home let me know ta

As with most herps, if your keeping something outdoors, choose something that is naturally found in or close by to the area which you live.

murry river short necks and eastern long necks [ some times referd as snake necks] are fine for outdoor ponds in vic .
all mine are just starting to become more active .
