Many people say that their is actually no such thing as a penny turtles is just a name for a baby turtle. WRONG!
I will soon have baby turtle, penny turtle that do not grow more then a two 50 cent coins. Please show your interest by emailing me.
The price has yet to be deciced, but a negoatiable $150 each is an approx price. (no pairs, because they are related.)

what the hell :? :? :? rnt they illegal and no such thing in Australia :? :? :?

What a little teapot That just iritates me off big time, not only is he ripping people off, but he is screwing the less informed big time, what's going to happen when thier penny turtle gets to 10cm, they won't be prepared, and by what he's posted already, his husbandry advice would be worth a load of crap. This just sickens me.

Oh goody, I have always wanted some two fifty cent coin sized dwarf miniature shrunk sized shrinky dinked turtles.....

Ahh, hang on, there not penny turtles, there coin turtles....there is a difference you know, one is worth more than the other....

I just emailed him to see what his response will be... I asked what species they were

My mum told me when she was young she had penny turtles. Is there such thing or has her memory gone????

No Sam, your mum is refering to turtle hatchlings, which are penny or coin sized. Many years ago before licensing came in, turtle hatchlings were caught enmass and sold in petshops under the moniker. As a result many beleived they would not grow beyond that size, typically they were dumped when they grew too big, infact many more likely died due to almost no husbandry info being avail .
I think these were mary river turtles, though i could be mistaken. Never the less, this misnomer has persisted, much to the annoyance of many.
This character above is deliberatly misinforming folk and very likely the hatchlings are not legit either (under license on books). This bloke is a dodgy shyster and needs a swift kick in the pants.
P.s there is no species of turtle native to australia that remains that size, the price may or may not be a ripoff depending on what sp they really are, either way dont even think of buying from someone so blatantly full of it!
