what snake is this

last nite i was driving along about 30 klms south of rockhampton qld when i saw an unusual looking snake, it was about 600mm long with a thin body and a smallish head , this snake was mainly white (almost a brilliant white) with thin black bands around its body - i have seen pictures of a bandy bandy and this snake was much more white with black stripes and it doesnt quite look like the bandy bandy's in the pictures and after trawling the internet for 3 hours i cannot find any the same - can anyone identify this snake for me please,

Band width is variable, obviously your description sounds more like a bandy bandy
than anything else... in your area other than that the only other black and white banded
snake that comes to mind would be a young BHP... both species are fairly common
there.

Was this at night or during the day?

Either way, with out photos you wont get a concrete answer.

Im going with Bandy Bandy, theres really nothing else it could be, just an awesome coloured individual.
