[h=6]Does anyone one know why my mouse wheel would suddenly stop scrolling web pages? And does anyone know how to fix it? ta.[/h]

- did you click on the actual page before scrolling ? (sometimes i have several sites open and forget that i need to click on that window prior to scrolling LOL)
- maybe you have just plain ol' wore it out from over use ?
- batteries could be getting low

If your left and right button are working its unlike to be a connection issue, i'm betting its one of the last two......

Its a Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer. Connected via cord, not batteries. Everything else works, tried the clicking on page issue, it's just decided to stop scrolling. It still scrolls in applications like excel, photoshop etc, just not internet sites.

Might be a problem with the IntelliPoint software or drivers,or the application does not correctly recognize scrolling messages from the mouse.Have your tried a puter reboot or checked through the associated software.Does your mouse have a reconnect button to reboot mouse?

Corded mice don't have a reconnect button !

Sounds more like an browser issue if office etc is scrolling ok. Is it all web pages or just certain sites?

A reboot may do the trick, can't hurt to try

Tried reboot, no effect. This mouse is about to get some more frequent flyer points.

LOL, I've had a few MS keyboards and mice at work, all have failed one way or the other. At home I've got a 7yr old wireless Logitech keyboard and mouse that is still going strong
