I knew Dai was a welsh name that's more or less the same as our "David". Did a Google on welsh names and came up with meaning of Bach, it means small. Dai Bach (David Small) comes up a lot in welsh and Celtic stories as some kind of unknown person or possibly a soldier/hero, just like Joe Bloggs.
So it's likely to be a town in Great Britain named after him.
