Which snake is this?

I was walking along a road near Tamworth, NSW when I saw it about 2m to the left of me. About 1,5 m long, complety black/dark grey as far I saw. Didnt see any red belly.

Any suggestion on specie?

Very hard to say from those pics, looks alot like a Eastern Brown.

Very hard to tell, but you also get the Blue Bellied Black Snake, or Spotted black, Pseudechis guttatus in that region. In fact, when i left there four years ago they were starting to become more common than RBBS in some spots.
