Wild Crystal Substrate and otehr moisture absorbant stuff

Just wondering if anyone uses this and wants to tell thier opinion of it. I know this stuff absorbs moisture like that dry kitty litter stuff and I want to use it for the custom melamine enclosures I want to build to prevent the melamine swelling from moisture.
