So I had got my new girl out last night for a photo shoot and man she was a wild one. Immediately after setting her down she was up in the S position and tracking me for abit. After some shots I picked her back up and she coiled tightly around my pinky finger.

It took a good 5 minutes of gentle unwrapping, pushing, and a little water dip to dislodge her. Now honestly I thought it was funny but it got me to wonder. Is this a typical woma behavior? I just fed her Wednesday but could she already be hungry? Or just scared since she is a 2010 hatch in a new place.

Here's a few pics.

Yeah it's pretty typical. My woma had a go at swallowing my finger the other morning. He settled down after a bit and I think he has realised that fingers are not food!

What I can say is handling snakes at night isn't always the best option as they are normally in hunting mode. So snakes are ok to handle at night some arn't.

My little ones are ferocious eaters. 3 days after a feed and they are looking at my hand like it's food. Love it. Most settle down once hit yearlings bit I still have a few adults you need to keep your eye on the pointy end!!

Can't offer any advice.........just wanted to comment that she's a cracker.beautiful girl.how long is she?old?what type of woma is she?

She's a 2010 In america it's impossible to tell there locale we have such mixed lines. I can only tell you she's from BHB.

I am just glad it's somewhat normal. She's simply breathtaking and I'd hate to think I wasn't giving her the best care.

Thanks everyone so much!

Haha, welcome to the world of woma keeping. They like to taste test things and they aren't the sharpest tools in the shed, that said they're unmatched for character and I wouldn't trade mine for anything. Yours is a stunner, she's very dark.

I bought my first woma about 6 months ago, I have found that she acts very differently to my other snakes, wierd but very cute. Personality plus. Love the tail wiggle!
