Hi
Just a quick question. When hatchie's are in there initial container and in my case they will be 30Wx30Hx35D with mesh top, do they need a heat cable and a light or would that get too hot. Also, is it best to put the cable inside or out.
Thanks
KJ

We kept ours in tubs, and placed them on top of the heat cord.

I'm thinking if your tub has a mesh top, it may allow too much heat to escape?

A light as well is probably overkill. Covering the top may be better, but still make sure you have adequate ventilation.
How are you checking temps?
I would set it up and check the temps you are getting before you put your hatchy in it.

Yes, that's what I was planning on doing, wont have the hatchies for a couple of weeks yet.

Thanks for your help by the way, appreciate it.
