Hi Guys,

For the next 3 days at school we have to do a global issue. My group has been kind enough to let me lead the group in threatened species. I have chosen to do Woma’s, as they are an endangered species of animal.

If some of you could help me out that would be great:

Any size charts (like average length of Hatchlings through to Adults)

Their diet in the wild.

How many deaths are there per year?

I am going to make this a power full speech to get it through to people, that our scaly friends are not ewwy and ugly, they actually need our help just like some other cute animals (Tassie Devils etc).

Cheers,
Jordy :D

since when are schools allowed to do a report on snakes? that sucks. my topics were boring when i was at high school. lol

Can anyone tell me what % of their diet is what (what they mainly feed on in the wild, 70% reptiles and 30% birds etc)

According to the Appendix in Australian Snakes, A Natural History by Rick Shine, the woma's natural food habits comprised of the following:
Invertebrates 0%
Fish 0%
Frogs 0%
Reptiles 48%
Reptile Eggs 0%
Birds 4%
Mammals 48%

Hope that helps at all and good luck with your report :)
