My male who has always been unlike other womas when it comes to food but he has started refusing food. he has always stopped the 2 weeks leading up to going into shed cycle which i have had no other python do, but he has just shed..
He is pacing the cage relentlessly like my males do at breeding time but it is a bit early.. just wondering if the recent heat now the 13 degree drop has set him off..

Anyone else had one stop eating this early???

i have 2 childreni males and one female (usually a pig) off their food for the last few weeks and pacing the cage. one of the males has shed for the first time in about 6 months (only feeds on 10g quail about 6-8 times a year since his first breeding season hence the lack of sheds).

womas are still feeding as usuall but are a lot more active.

the herp room is definitely getting a lot cooler in the afternoon/evenings now (southside of bris). im going to start cooling and introducing the the womas a little early this year to see what happens.

Thanks for the reply. last week i was getting 34 in my snake room now at 20 at night.. All my snakes have gone into shed or just come out of it in the last 2 weeks which is really unusual for all of them to be in shed at the same time. I wonder if the rain and the chnge in the temps has set him off. my BHp are still all eating but they will eat anytime so i cannot compare them lol

Same here most in shed, Childreni and spotteds are mating and the womas are pacing. Stimsons have stopped eating
