Hi,
This is the first time I have posted, I bought a Womma Python last June, it was born in Feb 2010 so is now about 13 months old. I have never had any issues with it (not sure of sex it was not sexed at the shop - but we call it she) it has always been a friendly, active snake, sheds easily and discretely, and up until recently ate regularly.
For the first couple of months she would take the food from my hand/tweezers but then she stopped striking at the food and would only eat if I left the rat/mouse on the floor of her house.
It last ate about 7 weeks ago, medium sized rat, she has been offered the same food twice since then but has both times ignored it and not eaten.
She refused a rat once about 4 months ago but 2 weeks later gobbled up her next offering.
She is still active and looks healthy, does not appear to have lost any weight, and recently shed (3 weeks ago).
Could anyone tell me if it is normal for a Womma to stop eating?
Thanks
