wondering how long i have to wait to get my reptiles license, so keen after having one years ago and owning a few beardies then moving and selling everything to now 4 years later settled and wanting to get my first snake if only my license would hurry up

mine came within 7 working days i think? I'm not sure. but you should get a reptile license number online and use that if you're really that impatient. that's what i did anyways when i first went out and got my first spotted.

Mine took 3 weeks
At this time of year they get alot of license applications so it can take longer than usual
If its been processed then u should be able to get ur AKL by ringing them
Or u could just wait
I know how u feel, i still do head miles when um waiting to get a new species let alone my first in 4 years

Haha and in S.A you're allowed to keep one of any herp off license, if you get a second you need to get licensed though. It's pretty relaxed here, you can keep as many blueys, shinglebacks bynoes geckoes and a few others without a license.

Anyway, from what I've heard it can take anywhere from a week to a month in N.S.W to get it. I hope you get it soon.

You should've gotten an email when you applied.

Shouldn't take more than a cpl weeks, I've never really had a prob with the NSW system (in my short time in the hobby that is, first application went in early Aug 2008. )

I just went through getting an interstate import licence, they said up to 14 days, but had it in 6 working days. I rang them the day before I'd received it to give them the other party's export number & they quoted me my number over the phone.

If you're that keen on the Bredli you can probably put down a small holding deposit until such time as you get your licence & pay the balance. At least then you know you've secured the animal you're after.

I got my license in NSW about 2 weeks ago.
It stated 21 working days on the application, I had it in about 1.5 weeks.
But as they said above, this time of the year it may be busier than normal, because of the breeding season

yea that is true, i faxed mine in so not sure havent gotten an email. the guy with the bredli is understanding so im just waiting to get my license just cant wait to get the snake thats all guess i wait a while longer and call and see if my number is available.

I applied for a class 1 nsw licence in october and got it in 2-3 weeks.

Didn't ever get an e-mail from DECC.

What class you applying for? Higher class applications might take longer but with reptiles giving birth everywhere and people wanting licences, I'd imagine DECC is pretty busy at this time of year as someone already said.

Hope you get it soon so you can get back into it

I am pretty sure that in NSW we do not get an email,or cannot get our number online.
Best way to know when your app is processed is by when they take their payment from your credit card.
I got my license about 3 working days after they charged my credit card.
