Hi Everyone,

We have 1 little baby that has taken a little longer to come out of the egg.

On closer inspection she seemed to be twisted in the yolk sac as it seem larger and more elongated then the other babies so we untwisted and she went back in her egg.

This afternoon we pulled her from the egg because she just seemed weaker and all the remaining babies had since left their eggs.

She still has a large attachment to her belly.

Has anyone seen this before any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi All,

We removed her from the egg and ensured there were no further twists or kinks in play, placed her in a bowl with a damp paper towel and warmth, 18 hours later she has absorbed her yolk sac.

:)

if she remained twisted, she would have died.

If you untwisted the sack from around her, theres a chance she will live, but shes gone this whole time without absorbing ,most of the yolk so shes going to be quite delayed and weak.

just nature, probably best to have not intervened. Dont have hope that it will survive, for now just leave it in the egg as it is
Did you cut the eggs prior to the eggs hatching? its a good way to mess things up if you cut the eggs too early (should wait for the 1st one to to emerge from egg)
