I've been looking for a breeding pair of Stimsons Pythons, and have been offered this pair of Antaresia stimsoni orientalis. However, I was expecting much larger blotches, and the large female in particular looks very much like childreni. I'm no expert (hence this post), and living in Europe...
My question is are these all real types because a lot of these look very similar.

This snake was given to me as a stimpsons python, but I'm not 100% sure. Although i have little to no experience with antaresia species so thought I would check with APS :)
Google didn't cut it, so I'm asking the true experts here ;).
How many species of native python does Australia have?
We had a lecturer in last week who claimed 16, but I got more than that off the top of my head, and then less if I didn't count subspecies. I don't doubt him, but I was...

Please be honest in your answers when polling.
Cheers Neil

I recently purchased an Antaresia stimsoni but after reading around, it seems there is still a little confusion or at least on my part anyway. There are several classifications ie Antaresia stimsoni orientalis and Antaresia stimsoni stimsoni from what I have been able to dig up it seems the...
