Hello,
My Frillies have been busy and it looks like I will have some eggs being laid at some stage. I was wondering what people use in the nesting boxes ? Soil, sand, combinations of stuff. Looked a lot on the web and can't find a definitive answer.
Any advice greatly appreciated.
See how this goes.
Thought I would start a thread for that one photo you just love. I took this about 10 months ago and still love it even though I can't find the original resolution copy I got this back off Facebook.

Sorry if this has been covered before (I did search and came up ziltch) but I am moving to NSW from Qld in a couple of months and I own among other things a Frill Neck and an RSP which are both considered Class 2 animals in NSW but are able to be kept on a standard licence in Qld so has anyone...
Hi guys.

Do your frillys require any additional care compared to a bearded dragon for instance?
What are their housing requirements &...

should common, cross or unknown locality species that hold no conservation value thus being nothing more then pets be on the licensing system? I think that only pure locality reptiles that hold conservation value should be on license. These licenses should only be give to people with real...
Hello again. It appears that while we have had around a thousand views of the first question, only a handful participated. I must thank all of you that did comment and I know it is a pain to do so. I am not sure why so few wanted to say anything but I ask PLEASE, PLEASE have a say. I want to...
G'day guys
My male EWD is in need of an enclosure upgrade. I was originally thinking an aviary but i realised that we have an old sand pit, 2.1m x 2.4m. I have decided to remove all the old sand, get fresh new substrate, plants, logs and a pond and build up the walls and build a mesh lid for...
I scored a 4ft timber enclosure in immaculate condition for a bargain price... I intend to keep a juvenile frill neck lizard in there... I've looked at putting down lights in but am not keen on having them sticking out the top with bare wires etc...

Was wondering, why is it that all the NT form Frillies I've seen in captivity don't have the really red - orange frills that you see in the wild? Does the colour get better with age or maturity? Is it perhaps something to do with artificial lighting?
Let me know your thoughts and experiences on...
Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but unfortunately found a dead Frilly at the Sutherland Leisure centre this afternoon. Obviously not native to the area, just passing on my condolences to the owner.

A proper Death Adder relocation this time.
Up here, whenever we get called out to remove a snake there seem to only ever be three possibilities as to what is can be. Either a Death Adder, a Taipan (We dont get Taipans up here) or a King Brown (Rare to find here, usually its the EBs).
Anyway...
So recently I've been doing a bit of herping here and there. My aim for herping this year was to get my list of species of Australian reptiles seen (and positively ID'd) to 200 species. Having completed this earlier this year (in a thread yet to be posted), I decided to head to Qld with some...
So I got called to drop everything and go running to one of the bosses house to remove a Death Adder (henceforth known as DA) halfway up a tree today (To those with pending facepalms, I know what you are thinking). Generally not being in a great mood to work hard on a Friday, I said I would...

Here's a quick video of Slink making his way back up into his enclosure, after spending a couple of hours outside in the backyard - it's a habit he seems to have picked up off of Maggie, our old Frillneck; she used to do it all the time too :D
He likes to...
