Also, what's on the final coat of your faux rock.
And as far as heat emitters go. what kind of...

I have only kept Mitchelli and would like to know how they compare to the other...
I have just returned from an eight day trip to South Australia. As usual, I clocked up many kilometers (over 6000) so spent hours in the car. This was my first herping trip to this part of Australia and there were many beautiful dragons in the genus Ctenophorus that I hoped to photograph...
Here are a few more shots of the Kalbarri area. The little village is located inland a short distance from the mouth of the Murchison River.
The coastal portion of the park was very scenic. This year, the temps were cool and the wind high so I spent little time on the trails above the...

It has come to my attention that there can be quite a variation in the sizes of Central/Inland Bearded Dragons (Pogona Vitticeps), and mine appear to be on the smaller side. So if Beardie owners out there care to share the size of their pets on this thread that would be great! :D
I probably...
I visited Nambung NP in February 2007 with a friend and also passed through the area with my son Nicholas in November 2005. This post includes photos from both trips.
Nambung NP ("The Pinnacles") is a spectacular place. It looks so strange with pillars of calcium carbonate scattered across...
My son and I visited Karijini National Park in the Pilbara of Western Australia for several days in November, 2005. This park is famous for its beautiful red rock gorges. Some of these gorges have permanent water and of course, where there is water, there is abundant life.
Here are a few...
Hi guys im new here. I cant seem to find Pogona henrylawsoni (Dwarf, Pygmy) over here in melbourne. Does anyone know if they are not allowed here or something?
Kalbarri National Park is well worth a visit. This scenic park is roughly an 8 hour drive north of Perth. The main habitat of the park consists of arid shrubland that is a mass of colour in the spring. The park protects a beautiful gorge carved by the Murchison River. The coastal section of...

Hello

Should a heat lamp be on all the time and set to a thermostat or should it be turned off completely at night?
Should a UV light be on for just daylight hours and compliment the current daylight (like shorter days in winter, longer in summer?)
Heating/lighting for dwarf bearded dragons
Hi all,
For those of you who keep either/or of these species, what do you think these young are from - Pygmy (henrylawsoni) or Dwarf (minor). The seller says minor but I'm not entirely convinced. The patterning doesn't look right to me and I find my dwarfs have longer tails than the pygmys.

A guy posted this pic on BD.org, trying to find out which species this little lizard is. His friends rescued it from the wild (in South Australia, if that helps) about 18 months ago. It is 3 inches total length, and has not grown since they've had it. Any idea what it could be..?
Short story - Gravid beardie at the pet store, ilegal for pet shop to 'breed' although she came like that and so my partner and I like the sooks that we are bought her.
She is on sand substrate and has a laying box in with her 1/2 full of moist vermiculite. We have the incubator primed and...
Well, there's virtually NO chance I can get a snake now, because my mum has once again changed her mind. Because "snakes are vicious and are vermin".
So I might settle with some beardies. :D What can she say about a few little lizards eh? Anyway, I guess I'll just have to wait another 14...
