looking for juvenile dwarf monitors/water skinks, must be under a year old for the dwarf monitors and under 6 months old for the water skink, will pay good money for certain animals, eg gilleni, brevicauda, storri, etc.
For the last yr or so I've been into monitors, and because of the lack of space I can't get a V.indicus or really anything 2 ft+ so i've made a list of monitors.
Black headed monitor (small subspecies)
Ridge tailed/acky monitor
Pygmy mulga/stripe tailed monitor
Short tailed monitor.

Hello everyone,
I'm still relatively new to the reptile scene (I got my first blue tongue 6 months ago) and so far we are getting along great, I've found out his "personality" and what he likes and dislikes and it's all running smooth. So now I want to get another reptile, something relatively...

Ackies monitors?
Hey everyone, for the last couple of years I was interested in monitors, one of the main things that stopped me from getting a monitor was their size. Right now and for at least the next couple of years I won't be able to take care of big reptiles. However, in a reptile expo...

Hi,
Been reading up on these guys and from what iv found they have been observed in the wild to be more arboreal in nature than gilleni and inhabit almost the same type of environment yet NSW NPWS have deemed them to not be a climbing monitor on their COD.
Although Dr Danny Browns book (aus...
Hi guys,
I am going to build a 4ft 3 bank enclosures and keep 2-3 Pygmy Beardies in one, 3 Jackys in another and then I'll have one spare. What lizard do you guys think would be suitable to keep in a 4x2x2ft enclosure? I want something different (not beardy or bluey) and am not the biggest fan...

So this thread is composed of a bunch of reptile pics I've taken since back in October, through to now over a couple different trips.

This Rough-scale was one of the few snakes out on the road.
Tropidechis carinatus...
I have an enclosure that is 135CM long / 80cm high / 30cm deep.
Because it is so shallow I was wondering if it is useless.
I would like to put any type of dragon or monitor in it except a bearded dragon. No geckos.
Have I got a dud enclosure?
My Pygmy Mulga Monitors have just laid eggs in their breeding box . . . the question is if I let the young hatch out in the main enclosure will the other 3 adults eat them? (I have run out of enclosure room).
So, I just did a small trip to SA, I don't like using names, so I'll reintroduce you to the Driver and the Twin. Who were first seen here.

So a couple of weeks back, I was sitting around bored. I don't like sitting around bored. Fortunately for me one of my friends wasn't sitting around bored, he was hatching plans to go herping in SA. Booking my ticket a couple days in advance I flew to South Australia ready to see some geckos...
are there any other small types of monitors other then Pygmy Mulga monitors, striped tailed monitors, short tailed monitors, rusty desert monitors and storr's monitors?? that would also be good for a first time monitor owner??
Does anybody have any keeping information about these type of Monitors? I was just wondering about them because I was thinking about getting one sometime in my life time haha
So yeah, I was just wondering about them.
Are they easy to keep?
Are they cheap to keep?

Hi guys,

I recently picked up some 3 month old Pygmy Mulga Monitors.
They are amazing, always exploring their enclosure from top to bottom. :)
Does anyone know how to *** them?
Can they be sexed at this age or do i need to wait til they are 12 months old?
Cheers
