Hi all,
Lately I've become quite interested (basically to the point of obsession) with Australian Monitors - there's not a species I don't like!!!
I'm just wondering what monitors people here keep/breed. Also, if you have friends or people you know who breed monitors and would let you splash...
Thought it might get the forum to post a bit more lol. Just wandering if anyone at the moment was considering any new herps to there collection or even there first herp?

has anyone ever kept a sand or goulds monitor (varanus gouldii)

do they make good pets?
what are prices like?
cheers everyone!
Hey all. I am wanting to start a Herp Collection consisting of the following.
Geckoes
Monitors
Pythons
I only have a Coastal Carpet hatchlie who is very snappy, so I dont have experience with other reptiles. What species do you think are best?
P.S I dont mind getting snappy...
just to get people talking about reptiles (youve been talking about urls with dead people or something) and if anyone is searching for a reptile they wish to acquire they can find out who they can get them off or could help them find someone with some for sale.
what does everyone plan to breed...
Anyone here keep monitors? I was wondering whats a good monitor to start out with? I thought maybe an ackie due to smaller size etc. What I am actually after is a hardy species with a good temprement?Anyone have any suggestions?
