Just saw an ad for a perentie on the herptrader and its 8 months old and they want $5000. Just wandering if anyone on this site has one? Also if people in other states are allowed to keep them as im pretty sure you can not have them where im from(vic).

Hi all,
Lately I've become quite interested (basically to the point of obsession) with Australian Monitors - there's not a species I don't like!!!
I'm just wondering what monitors people here keep/breed. Also, if you have friends or people you know who breed monitors and would let you splash...

I was wondering if anyone knew the danger zone for a bhp not to be feeding, How long can they go before force feeding?
Is starting them on lizards a recipe for a lifelong bad feeder or impossible to get back over to mice?
Cheers

Did anyone see the totally wild program this afternoon? They had some death adders that were born without scales. Very unusual looking. Has this been reported in any other species?
cheers
Ben
