my internet is no where near fast enough to make a youtube account. Could i possibly email you the video. I wish i could get her to the vets i have no way of transporting her till the morning as i have no car at the moment. Also due to my hermit like behaviour i dont really have anyone i can call at this time of night. i have got helped her into a warm spot and she appears to be content but any more attacks like the last one and i will be running her to where ever i have to.

Mate also just looked at that video and that is EXECATLY what my female is doing expet that is how it was this morning........now it is much worse and you can see the fits are becoming more and more severe.

must be honest and say it definitely does not sound good in any way
One very very slight chance might be to give her an electolyte drink or bath
This may have a very slight chance of flushing toxins and giving her a boost at the same time

any of the human drinks full of electolytes work such as powerade etc etc
in this case i would syringe or tube a bit straight down her throat

I know I just watched the video on Sinderellas other thread. It is so unbeleivable how quickly it comes on and how quickly the snake deterioriates

so very very sad I really feel for you

i have tried and there is no chance i can get anything down her neck due to the intence sucking upward of the neck. That coupled with the tight coils she has going on. I am worried if i force her to straighten out i will break her back, i was trying befor but it was not happening.

Fantazmic- What are you refering to as IT? Or do you belive to be liver failure?

just so your all aware this vet has been trying to help me get this beautiful girl back to health since May of this year so has watched her health go the direction it has for a while now.

I'm really sorry that you are going through this Pharskie, but from what you have written, your girl has been under vet care since may and she is still going down hill and is apparantly in a great deal of pain. I agree with fantazmic, its time to let the vet put her out of her misery. I know that it will be hard to deal with but doing what you are doing is incredibly selfish, because you do not want to let her go.
You have a responsibility as her carer to do everything you can to keep her in good health, you and your vet have tried and its obviously not relieving her pain.
I really do think you need to make a final trip to the vet.

i already have... RIP, Phiilis you amzing girl. i will never forget the trust you gave me, and the respect i gave in return.

 I am so sorry for your loss. You have done what is best for your girl though, she is now at peace. Good on u for trying to bring her back to health, & i am sorry your efforts were without a positive ending.

its even more of a heart crusher cause now i have my male franticly looking for her in the enclosure. I oppened the door and he just turned and hissed franticly at me.

thats absolutely devastating Pharskie,...im so sorry to hear you lost her.

RIP Phillis. :(

Sinderella- how is your little one this morning. Any signs of improvement?

I'm sorry for your loss but happy that Phillis is now pain free, as hard as it would have been, you have ultimately done the right thing for her, so well done! it isn't easy to say goodbye whether it's a human or pet family member.

It is an unescapable reality that all things must pass. Often with no apparent rhyme or reason. Only you can know the true measure of your loss. But for those of us who have been there before you, we appreciate how deep the knife cuts.

Thinking of you! Feeling for you!

Only time heals wounds of the heart.

thats so sad sounded like a great snake you she be proud to be able to tame it so good.
R.I.P phillis. :(

Thank you everyone. I have put the bag that Phillis was last in, under the hide rock and another one she was recently in on the basking shelf for my male and he is much calmer. i had him out today but he is still a little sketchy and moves around trying to find her. I know alot of people are against keeping snakes together in the same cage but i plan on eventually getting another female for him to curl up with. I dont care if they dont breed, as long as they are happy. I really think the constant company of each other was what made them so calm and tame to handle. In saying that, its only my oppinion.
