hey my adult male diamond python hasn't eaten in six months and ive tried heaps of different feeding methods. i was thinking of going to a good reptile vet and getting him force fed to buy him some more time. has any one done this before and what are there experiences with it.
cheers

Give us more info. What's the set up like. How long have you had him? How old is he? What exactly have you tried?

what are your cage temps, what heating are you using and are you using uv.

he was in an avairy up untill he ate except i put him in an indoor enclosure for the last 2 weeks. temp was not an issue in the avairy as diamonds live five minutes away in the wild. now he has uv and a spot. hot end 32 cool 25. cage is 3x3x4

there fairly high temps for a diamond. y did u move him from the outside avairy? if he was outside through winter id say thats the reason he hasnt eaten as he was in hybination

I'd say he as in winter cooling mode whilst outside and if he's only been inside for 2 weeks then he's probably adjusting to being inside, still a bit stressed. Give him time to himself, no handling, don't bother offering food for another 2 weeks and then try.

If he's in good shap 6 months won't be a problem.

if he looks healthy and his body weight is good then hes probably fine, one of mine doesnt eat till the mating is done and dusted. 6 mths is not uncommon, if he last ate in may he should be fine
