Kev, is that the nut in the mask with the sock on his hand. If so, hes a lunatic who doesn't feel pain  The things they have that nut doing would cripple the most hardened of men

That's the nut. He's pretty much retired now, but shows up on occasion to work a small programm. He had a great match a while ago with Randy Orton. Classic Foley with Barby (baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire), and a bed or barbed wire. And ofcoruse the thumb tacks. Really great match. Mick hasen't lost of any of his maddness. I remember years ago I saw him lose half his ear in a match with Vader. Great stuff.

There is something to be said for old school wrestling. Killer Kowolski was a great wrestler. No doubt about it. He actually trained Triple H. I think hands down the best ever though is Bret Hart. He was unreal good.

Greg, now you are showing your age if you remember those guy. Championship wrestling on Saturdays with Sam Manicure. Memories

When i was younger it was all Andre the giant and Hulk Hogan. I do remember Hart though cant picture him. Has he gone into politics also.

I can remember when Andre The Giant first came to Australia. He was built like an athlete. 7ft 4in tall and weight a slim 300 lbs or so.
When he finally died he weighed between 550 to 600lbs and he could barely walk due to his massive weight.t

There were 2 Doinks. The first was Smash from Demolision. I can remember their names exactly. I hated them. Not a big fan of the gimick wrestlers with the exception of the Undertaker and Kane.

Scott Stiner was offically bought out of his contract last month. He was inactive during the last bit, because Vince was very unsatisified with Stiner's work. Can't say I blame, but have no idea why he was even signed in the first place. He's one of the worste workers in recent memory.

A great movie that pops up on Foxtel every so often is called 'Beyond the mat'. It's sort of a doco on wrestling, has some great old heads in there (Terry Funk, Jake the snake etc). Your certainly right about Mick Foley Bob, the guy is a complete lunatic he had absolutely no respect for his own body. A great watch if you can catch it. They also do a biography of Andre the giant on the history channel. Really interesting, you really feel sorry for the guy apparently he hated being a freak. In the end he just let himself go, basically ate and drank himself to death. A quiet drink for him was 8-10 bottles of wine or 4 bottles of vodka. Not the kind of guy you'd want to get into a shout with!
A great website for wrestling fans is www.wrestlinginformer.net/
Look in the deceased wrestlers section, plenty of well known guys there who are no longer around.

Medicine Hat huh? Never been there. Cold as hell from what I hear. That's what I hate about Alberta. Way too cold. Alberta is the spot to be in Canada right now if you want a job. It's booming. B.C. is best though. It's so beautiful here. The Alberta Rockies are amazing, but I kind of think of them as B.C. . Canada's nice. If any of you guys ever head out this way and are in B.C., let me know.

When we drove from Winnipeg to BC we always drove through Medicine Hat. (right on the Trans Canada Highway) It may be cold but not as cold as Winterpeg, oops, I mean Winnipeg, Manitoba. You are correct, Canada is nice Kevin, but as I told my niece the other day I will never move back to Canada. We find the quality of life much better/easier in Australia...every day I am so thankful to be downunder. (where it is warm enough to be walking on the beach or cold enough to go to 'the snow' and snowboard, all within hours of each other), plus we find the Aussies are waaaay more relaxed and layed back. :D
(Our 3 children were born 60 kms east of Vancouver, B.C.)
Kevyn if ever you are heading to Melbourne please let us know. Love to show you around.

Cheers from a fellow Canadian, Jude

Splitmore, that doco was on TV very late at night just 3 weeks ago. Sat up and watched it. All about Jake the snake travelling to small towns , Terry Funk retireing, and the occasional glimse of Coco Beware and his bird. Very depressing to see such popular names hit such a rock bottom low.
