Advice for a newcomer :)

Hi all
I recently purchased a juvenile diamond python for my first reptilian pet; all seems to be going well & he is growing quite fast!

He had his first shedding in my care about a week ago & since then, I have noticed some of the scales towards the end of his tail are discoloured & dirty looking, also his cloaca seems to be more open than normal.
Attached some photos, though they aren't that great.. anyone have any advice?

I have had a look at a few threads & thought this might be a good place to come to ask my seemingly stupid questions thanks all!

im not sure
my snake also has a few red spots underneath its body and never been relly sure what it is iv had him for about a month and a half

iv been kinda thinking it may be from were he had bitten himselve because during handleing he had bitten himselve once or twice ?
