One of my centipedes had babies! 23 of them to be exact. Species is Scolopendra laeta.
Sorry if the pics are a bit grainy, they've been cropped a lot due to the fact the pedes are only 1cm long.

tergite 1 is black on the bubs at this age to, though the terminal legs arnt striped, maybe next moult :)
both aussie scolopendras have blue legs as pedelings, never seen how long it lasts with laeta, but with morsitans it lasts a while
 
The mother had yellow legs for one portion of the body, do you think these babies will develop that trait? The father probably had it too as all the ones in the area the mother was found it had the yellow legs.

Its a shame the legs dont stay this vibrant, the mother's terminal legs were almost black.
 
yes they will carry on the trait, thats the colourform for the area, its not uncommon for laeta to have 2 different leg colours (espicially in WA) if i can dig up the pic ive seen one with 3 :shock:
only 2 forms with morsitans though
