Bad Weather

Well I hope everyone else had a better last few days. We copped over half a metre of rain in one sitting yesterday. Lost power for nearly 8hrs lost all phone service and internet... Then we had our road cut off. We have trees snapped in half and the saddest of all two of our snake tanks in outdoor area have now been affected to the point where we will need to build new onees because our back area flooded. Nearly 12hrs of cleaning and we are.nearly done. Happy Australia Day to everyone. I hope everyone is ok. I will be uploading some photos soon. (The bucket was my attempt at humour....)

yeh we are up there, I feel sorry for the people that their houses border along that creek, they have lost fences.... plus a lot of gum trees have come down in the area. Are you guys ok where you were?

yeh teh whole lot of rain was just moving down the coast. SO I feel for the poor people that's going to affect now. I just heard there is another low forming, and they are saying that our river will start it's flooding next week.... dang it. I hate when this happens, becuase instead of the people in this town acting sensibly, they get into panic mode, and buy out all of the shops instead of just having the essentials... eh just hoping we aren't cut from the rest of the world for as long this time.

Yeah we're ok. The creek is still flowing wildly and one of the trees near our house is about to crack in half but we're ok. Glad you are too!

Bargara was hit was a mini tornado and the town destroyed this afternoon. One guy is in critical condition.

Rain is at the Sunny(sic) Coast ATM. We lost power for a few hours ( hope the guys who fix the power in these conditions get mega bucks ). Police are warning to stay indoors as much as possible tomorrow.

Stay safe, everyone. As a tropical cyclone, Oswald was relatively mild. As an ex-tropical cyclone, he's wreaking havoc.

Boyne and Gladstone are getting worse, they are evacuating people down the end of my street ( we a little higher up the road and haven't been warned just yet ) and in a lot of other areas aswell. All the roads in and out are completely cut off.

The dam is the main worry at the moment, expected to be at a 7.9m overflow by tomorrow morning.

This was the Boyne River at 6:45pm tonight, has been pouring down since and most likely much worse by now - it was all good and fascinating but starting to worry now!

I have a mate up bundy way and aparantaly in and around the bundy area has been hit by 3-4 tornados, some rather small though. My best wishes to everyone and their reptiles up that way. Take care guys.

Well my family are trying to get in contact with my nan and pop which live on Bargara where a couple of tornados hit hopes all fine up there

Ok hope everyone is ok were getting 90+ kmh winds expected to reach up to 140 rain is easing off a little now but my mates parents just had a huge tree fall on their roof and car with their grand kids there last night I just went to see if they needed help bur there ok... please stay safe and if anuone needs help I hope everyone would do the same and ask
