Bargara was hit was a mini tornado and the town destroyed this afternoon. One guy is in critical condition.

This is rediculous, finally got the net and phone back. The inlaws live in Bundy, so they are copping it pretty bad atm too... Like most people in this town they have gone on a stupid panic buy mode and there is basically nothing left in town...

Our place is insane, the whole jetty is underwater, and the retaining wall is also underwater, biggest high tide ive ever seen.

Check out some parts of Depo Hill already. And the flood peak is supposed to hit this coming Saturday with the water rising steadily until then.

They've gotten all the cattle and horses and taken them to higher ground, as well as allow the cattle and guinea fowl and chooks simply roam around. I thought it was pretty funny to see the camel running around the streets though...

Yeah I went for a drive down there today, for a quick look see one of the boats at the boating club has a masive hole in it.... The inlaws survived in Bundy which is good, a lot of people down there have lost their houses completely though. Feeling really sorry for the ones in Ipswich too. Just hopefully people in Rocky wake up to their senses soon, and instead of panic buying stiock up on only what they may need for a few days. Why don't they realise that in any case of State Emergency the Army come in with food etc... They really make me cranky.

Our water won't be going down any time soon. The Fitroy River Basin is the largest catchment area in Australia. So we can't evem begin to know what our river will rise to until the surrounding areas have finished rising. The anticipate next Saturday to have a better idea. So assuming that low doesn't form, and we get no rain we should be ok. Just have to wait it out. Meanwhile the sun was out today 38degrees...

We lost power for almost 40 hours. On tank water so had no water, snakes went cold, fish started dying due to no filter, no phone reception or battery for that matter and no gas to cook up the defrosted meats. Luckily the iga took my snake food so I saved that. Total nightmare! We have never been so relieved to have power back last night.

We are ok, luckly we live at the beach but in town is really bad and its only getting worse. They have 14 aircraft out rescuing people and most of town is under water...so many people have lost everything...it breaks my heart. The town is running low on stock as well with only a few places being open. I hope everyone is staying safe everywhere else.

I hope you are doing alright. My inlaws are all safe. The army will be in there helping you guys out. Best wishes to you all though!!! We are just waiting to hear about the Fitzroy...
