One of my beardie babies has Ben bitten and half of his leg is now missing.. He has been bitten on the front leg where the joint connects so his foot is gone. The wound is a little black and id say it's probably a day or two old as there is no blood coming out but you can see some red where it has started to heal. I don't want him to get infected and would like to know if there is some kind of antisptic cream or spray I can buy locally maybe a chemist or supermarket that would be safe to use to reptiles. Or possibly bandage the wound so no more damage occurs. I will be separating him but any advice on what care I should take to ensure he is ok would be appreciated. If there are any sprays or things I can do myself or if I should take him to the vet, hopefully I've caught it early enough and no major damage other tha the obvious is done

same thing happened to a couple of my babies this season. I took mine to the vet and got some anti biotics to prevent infection. You will find its turned black because the leg has died, and will more than likely fall off at the nearest joint over time. Your dragon will still live a normal life though so try not to stress too much. Get to the vet as soon as ya can though.

Yep only 2 months so already on paper towels, have separated him and will go grab some betadine and see how he goes. Do I need to dilute it?
