Hi all,
I got a baby bearded dragon about two days ago, he/she is about 4/6 weeks old (according to the breeder), he/she is starting to settle in and has started eating some crickets and greens this morning but this afternoon I have noticed that sometimes he scratches himself, like with his back leg. Is this normal behavior? Is he tying to shed? Any info would be appreciated. :)

Can youy put some pics up of him? have you got any pics from the last day or two,as these would be helpful to tell if he is shedding or not. one of my beardies in a month old and has pretty much shed whole body today. It has been scratching, rubbing on the glass, rocks waterbowl

Here are some pics, I think that there is skin in front of him on the stump, but I just wanted to make sure he doesn't have mites.

I cant tellby those pics but
You will know when he is shedding his skin will come ofeverywhere in big chunks

My beardies used to squat down on their back legs and scratch their heads like a dog.

This is kinda what he was doing, scratching with his back leg. How long does it usually take for them to shed?

Not sure about the whole process, but one of mine started to actually get skin off this morinin and now it only has its legs, tail and 2 quarters of its underbelly to get off.

He is definitely going through a shed atm going off the pics.
Give him a bath as suggested and mist twice a day to help him out.
All totally normal though so don't panic.
