Just wondering if anyone can tell me how to check my beardie's eggs to see if they are fertile?
She has laid 15 an i'm hoping most will hatch.

You can candle them you will need a bright light from something like a pen torch. Shine the light through the egg and if its fertile you should be able to see veins running through the egg. Make sure you don't change the orientation of the eggs though.

With gecko eggs I shine a narrow beam torch at them in a dark room. After the first week if they are fertile I can see red veins inside and a pinkish glow. Having said that there have been a couple that have fooled me and I've been convinced they were infertile and out popped a knob tail after a couple of months, so incubate them even if you don't think they are fertile.

Hope they hatch for you :0)

Thanks guys, i'll give it a go tomorrow. Hopefully i get a few nice little yellow hatchys.

never throw an egg out, ive been amazed by what has hatched in terms of appearance. It is a good idea tho to keep eggs that you think may be dodgy sepaarte to avoid bacterial and fungal contamination of healthy eggs- not always feasible i know...
