Hi Hi

My beardie is very pregnant and im not sure how far along she is the eggs fell firmish when I hold her. She is also in her cage with her mate and ive been told that I should seperate them so i have set up a 50L tub with sand and dirt and have purchased a heat cord. Should I put the heat cord in the tub under the dirt/sand?? Also how do i know when to transfer her to the tub?? Thanks

SOrry i cant be too much of a help but i dontthink its that big a deal seperating them. Of course if you see him trying to eat the eggs or something then seperate them. Otherwise leave them till she lays her eggs. Thats just my opinion anyways.

Thanks but my male keeps jumping on her so I thought it would be best to seperate when she needs to lay but im not sure how i know when to take her out of the enclosure and put her in the laying box.

from what ive read you dont have to separate them but it would be on the safe side as the male constantly dominating the female would cause her quite a lot of unnecessary stress which may cause complications.

take the male out asap.
put the laying box in the tank and let her decide when and where she wants to lay.

I can see why Beeman had the rant the other day.
So so many threads popping up about breeding with noone having any idea what they are doing.
