Hey guys,
Firstly I am not a lizard person I have a few but there just pets, so any way I got a big male central beardie as a rescue, owner just had no time for him and yeah so any way he ended up in my care,
Few days into looking after him noticed basic things such as basking and what not but never seen him drink or even stick his tongue out which seemed a bit odd,
so today as Im feeding my lizards (first time attempt at feeding him, gave hime a couple of days to settle in) he looks very interested in food so I hold a big woodie up to him on tweezers and he keeps like pushing his lips up to it but not opening his mouth which seemed very odd so I picked him up and on closer inspection noticed he had like a scab kinda thign sealing his mouth, so i got some cotton buds asnd wet them and wiped his mouth aqnd eventually got it open where I noticed his mouth is just full of like suliver sticking top to bottom and just looks like typical snake mouth rot,
So Basically I will be cleaning his mouth out daily with fresh water followed by swap with diluted betdien then cleaned out with warm sal water then rinsed with fresh, he will be closely monitored and if improvements arnt noticed he will go to the vet
