i get my beardies in about a week and a half....
YAY!
lisencing takes too long!

my enclosure is already to go... few more plants would be nice, but branches and everything are good to go.
picked up a thermometre just to make sure tem,p gradient is ok...

can't wait

dont forget to have food ready, i had the whole thing ready, picked them up on a sunday afternoon and hadnt bought crickets! doh!

oh, i have a colony of woodies already.
gonna pick up the rep-cal on the way to get the beardies

good to see keen parents that are actually prepared :) if you have any othe r qs dont forget to ask and make sure you take loads of photos for us :D

bah!
of course i am prepared... i HATE people that get animals without at least TRYING to understand their needs....
huskies in australia
dogs without room to run
cats without scratchers (that get punished for destroying the couch)

shame on some people....

Im right with you mate :D but those humans , as i like to call them, are everywhere and they are usually the ones who dont listen or want to learn :( so good on you mate and hope you have a blast

you know whats funny tho,
havent even got the beardies yet, and i am already planning a snake....

i have issues with them tho
one of those animals i have always been scared of, yet unbeliveably drawn to at the same time

your just uneasy about them as you havent had any expirence with them get one you wont regret it

it actually isn't that.
coz i have always dragged my parents totake me to see the snake man at fairs and stuff...
always feen facinated....

maybe being raised catholic taught me to fear snakes... if so at least the 12 years of school achieved something....

i know its off topic, but its my topic so i don't care.
but what would be a good snake for a probably initially "skittish" first timer.
(i'll put it on my christmas list).
the pain in being bitten doesnt bother me (i am a chef, my hands are always bleeding and quite numb anyway, its more the actual "striking"

Yeah bredli are pretty good..although they get to 9ft..but great handlers, feeders and lookers
a small snake would also be a childrens or stimsons3ft-31/2ft

prefer the look of the coastals over the bredlis.
bigger would be cool :p

the beardies will be my training items... i'll see whats available in dec/jan and decide then
