G'Day all, My second clutch of CBD eggs for the yr hatched 2 weeks ago. However there were two that didnt hatch, and still havnt. They are still pink and full of vessels, and I can see the blurry lump of the baby at the bottom when candled, however they look very underdeveloped and dont even look like hatching any time soon. The third clutch look ready to go in fact

Now these eggs are coming up80days, r still alive, but i feel wont hatch, but i'm leaving them in incubator anyway, to see what happens.

Q. has anyone had anything likethis happen to them b4, I would have thought that they may have started going off by now if there no good. And if youve had tghis problem b4, did yours hatch or not????

cheers
colby

Never had that happen, I have open eggs that were a few days behind others to find them deformed (conjoined twins ect) but never left them go that late.

Hey Jason, thanks for the reply, Yer its a bit strange. If I dont see any signs of progression over hte next week or so, I'll open one up and see whats going on. I doubt there viable now, but thought it a bit strange that they r still alive.

Cheers

I got a mate who just had the same prob only for her to leave it this late and find that it drowed as it had no egg tooth to break the egg so she prob could have saved it. Personally i'd be busting the eggs now to give them a chance.

I had one late egg hatch approx. 2 weeks after the others, the baby appeared healthy but had a shortened spine, it ate and thrived for a couple of months - but then carked it
Amazing little animals, hey
Cheers
Sandee :)

Thanks all.

I'll open them in a few days. However I was putting it off because they are no where near developed enough to have a chance when I open them.

let you all know when I do

If you open one and it's alive and under developed, let the other one go, or leave them both and open them when they start to sweat or look off, post up what happens, interested to know
