Wow!!! How on earth do you get a pet wallaby? Very cool! When I was little we had two pet joeys.

How do you find the wallaby as a pet?

Great pic indeed and Wallabies can be kept as pets in Vic, don't know about the other States.

hi guys, sorry i didnt get back to you last night, we had a power blackout

i got the wallaby because her mum was hit by a car, i have raised joeys before so she was brought to me for caring. (there are no wildlife rescue people for hours out here.) she has had her ups and downs but overall she is pretty happy and healthy but refuses to live with her fellow wallabies. The vet is happy for her to stay in our care as this is the area she came from and hopefully one day she will realise she is a macropod and not something else. the lizards ans snakes dont faze her, infact she has been known to stick her head in the lizard enclosure to see if their veg are better than hers she rules the roost here, the dogs and cats will get a good nip if she is displeased with them and even hubby has been snubbed when he has for some reason angered her lol.. they take alot of care and dedecation to raise but are well worth it in the end.

Looks like a brush tailed rock wallaby zard,if its uninjured rocky npws would not let you keep it cause nos are very low. If its a swamp wallaby you may have some chance of keepn it cause there common. Cant tell just from that pic.Not victorian laws here in NSW.
