The title explains it all, i would like to know all your ideas because im getting a snake soon and my cool side of the tank is a bit on the hotter side (if you understand that).
Thanks in advance :D

G'day Mate,

What i do is keep a bunch of water bottles in the freezer and on those ridiculously hot days i wrap the frozen water bottles in a towel and place it on the snakes or dragons cool end. seems to work a charm. They usually spend alot of the day on it then occasionally go to the warmer end for a little bit to thermoregulate.

You can also use a fan set up where u connect a fan (like a computer fan) to a thermostat and get it to turn on once the enclosure hits a certain temperature.

How many water bottles would you put in a click clack? and how many for an enclosure about 60cm long 50cm wide?

sitting the click clack on a concrete or tiled floor on hot days will help, also you can buy gel cooling mats, a pillow sized one would be reasonably priced and probably work a treat.

im trying one out for a diamond over the next few days, ill let u know how it goes.

Sorry mate didn't realize it was a click clack. I wouldn't be putting any in a click clack I would take Chris's advice on that. As for a 60 cm enclosure just one bottle will do the trick I use big coke bottles.

Obviously the gel cooling mat is difference from the standard gel ice packs (freezer packs). Sounds interesting.

If the collection grows substantially, you should seriously consider refrigerative air conditioning. (Evaporative won’t cut it with Brissy’s humid summers.) You can buy a small portable unit, or a window mounted unit, right up to a split system – according to what you can afford. Just something to think about for the future.

Ensure you have a water dish large enough and deep enough for your snake to fully submerge, this should suffice.
