I ahve 22 bearded dragon eggs in a soil container { due to an unexpected birth last night} I have been told that I should transfer the eggs into vermilitite , whats the best method of moving the eggs?? cheers in adavance guys

Weigh out the amount of vermiculite that you need to fill the container and then weigh exactly the same amount of water. Mix together and you have your medium for incubating.

Before you move the eggs, put a small dot on the top of the egg with a non toxic pen (ie, non permanent pen). When you transfer them to the new container, make sure that the dot is at the top. The eggs shouldn't be rolled as it can cause egg failure in later development.

Depends how far along the eggs are as to whether rolling them would cause them to fail, but to be safe whenever I'm transferring eggs I always keep them the same way up as they were.

:)

Get a lead pencil and put a mark on the top of all the eggs. This will help you not to roll them, otherwise they will die. Then just simply pick them up and place them back in the same position.

I find that I know what I'm talking about much better after a few Jim Beams and coke LMAO ;)
