Heya guys,
I have had my BHP for 20months now, I noticed when I went to feed him about 4 days ago he wouldn't eat, at the same time I noticed his tongue was not flicking, I fed him a large rat (he's 6.5) almost 2 years old. I don't though at first it was me stressing him as I had to use a hammer driller to put up a venision blind outside my window, but then I remembered he but one my my friends only 8 days ago...party, I was drunk... *note to self* don't hold your pet blue tongue and have your friend holding a snake* anyway when I did feed him 2 weeks ago he did reguritate his food, however he did eat it again. I took him to the vet and he said there we no signs of infections and he seems like an really healthy snake, the vet said he may have nicked his tongue, but all and all healthy, I can see his through puff a little like he is trying to use his tongue when I watch him... has anyone had this issue or have any new idea on why he may be doing this? his temps are 25 cool end 36 hot end btw, his UV is out of date now going to get a new one soon.

Have you checked inside his mouth yet?

Yeah, well the vet did, he didn't see any signs of well anything wrong in the mouth, he just said he may have nicked the tongue but it's worrying me still he was a herp vet btw... he said the snake seemed very healthy

As long as the snake is eating and is in good health, then there really isn't anything to worry about.
An interesting fact on BHP's, there have been records of them actually partially regrowing their tongues.
