I was wondering what water people use for their herps? We only have bore water and buy bottled water to drink, so my woma gets bottled water.

Would he be better off with the minerals from bore water or is he fine with bottled?

Thanks, I must not have searched too well.

Mine drinks out of the aquarium. Goes to show they don't need crystal clear water. Something with minerals probably wouldn't hurt (rain water, etc)

I use tap water for the lizards and rain water for the frogs, reptiles are a lot less fussy with water then amphibians.

Tap water - ours is pretty darned good here, if it's good enough for me to drink , it's good enough for my lizards, they get it changed daily.

If we had bore water (which is usually rich in Ca and Mg, known as Ca and Mg Hardness) I'd give that to the lizards to drink as it would be very very beneficial I think and help reduce the chance of MBD.

Thank you :D that's what I was looking for. I will start giving him bore water instead. I don't drink it - tastes yuck lol

Basically if you wouldn't drink it don't give it to your pets.
