Alright so I love my 2010 woma girl, but she is one bitey animal. Cage cleans and handling I always come away with "realistic battle Damage".

I hear womas are docile, and I lough her rough and tough attitude sooooo much.

But I wonder should I be feeding her more.

She's a 2010 Female, she has been getting a small mouse every 7 days. I am pondering increasing that to a small mouse every 4 days.

thoughts?

What size is she? That feed size/frequency sounds a bit small. Yearling Womas should be onto small rats from what I've seen

She's seems so small I mean the mouse is well bigger than her head. She's to bitey to weight but she seems to be about a september october hatch I'd guess.

I feel like scum. I can't believe I am underfeeding the poor dear.

I asked the breeder what she was feeding and they said small or medium mice.

Yeah don't feel bad. Just try bumping up the size and see if it helps. I've heard aspidites are real jerks unless they constantly have a full stomach

dont worry about the size of the womas head look at the thickness of the body and go by that i have fed my womas rats which there head is bigger than the womas but they can get it down. ive heard of baby womas starting off on baby rats as well never touched mice.

Yeah my tanami woma hatched at the start of January, and he is on fuzzy rats now. It doesn't look like they would possibly be able to swallow it but my little guy does it with ease

Our womas are about 3.5 months old and are handling fuzzy rats no problem- they seem to be happy and content. As others have said go by the size of the thickest part of the body and get something a little bigger than this, so it will leave a nice bulge.

My boyfriends Woma about 17months old now and is on small adult rats about once a week.
He's a docile puppy-dog... Umm, I mean snake. :p

Carpets and Aspidities (except greens)should be started on rats they can handle them with no problems, the Anteresias that should be started with pinky mice..IMO Woma-bhp should atleats start on rats as it only takes a few weeks and mice are too small..I would defiantly try it on rats as soon as you can..That may take the snappy out of it,but as there very food orientated, everything that comes near them they seem is food.

I gave her two small mice tonight (I had them on hand).I should try larger next week. I'll see if I can't get a weight.

She seems way to small for small rats though, I couldn't imagine her taking that big body. I am sure your both right I am just worried.

The smallest rats I can get are small Adult rats, I can get large adult Mice though. What should I do? Should I try a small adult rat?

Thanks for the help everyone :) !

Yeah mate I know you are concerned, but here is an example of how much they can stretch to fit. This is a big adult Black headed Python (An Aspidite, just like the Woma) taking a big goanna... It looks impossible but he manages just fine. I've got more pics in the series, if people want to see them. A friend emailed them to me when she found out I was into snakes

Nice pics. Well I will give small adult rats a try next week then! Thanks all.

Wow that's incredible Blackstik. I've always wanted to feed one of my snakes something ridiculous like this just to see it

Ha ha yeah pretty cool, huh? I would love to see something like this in the wild. When I can be bothered I'll jump on the computer and start a new thread with all the pictures in order.

Yeah I imagine it would have been a pretty awesome pokemon war to see from the start as well. The monitor wouldn't have gone down easy

Also Seru you can just try multiple prey items for now if you've got them. I forgot I'd run out of proper size rats last weekend so I ended having to give my Jungle four very small rats I had in the freezer. Each one on its own wouldn't have even been a snack but in the end he had a nice lump

Awesome thank you. I can't get my hands on juvenile rats but small adults are no problem for next week.
