Just shot this nice blue and yellow guy who was chasing frogs in my yard :)
Its a really crap photo and the others are worse :( but an awesome looking snake anyway. If only i could afford a decent camera.
Its the first time i have seen a blue and yellow one in my area.

WOW he looks nice. Do u know what kind he is? Id be tempted to catch him lol. But i wouldnt. Very pretty!

That looks fake, they're no shadowing, and the snake it to bright agaist the background.

Definately super imposed.

Photoshop.. not a good one either. hmmm.. My opinion.

Unless the snake is being held with one hand in front of the camera that is..

Here is a simialr one found in my backyard near Brisbane. Sorry if it looks superimposed :)
Picture144.jpg

That one above just looks like it is being held in one hand and photograped with the other, there would be a shadow that far from the ground but yes focus on the snake not the ground ;-)

Nah, that's an action shot if I ever seen one:rolleyes:
Like Cris said, it was chasing frogs in his back yard. maybe it launched itself across the yard and he snapped it mid flight.;)

Maybe it's hanging of a tree? nice snake though!

That would make sense wouldnt it:rolleyes:
They often freeze and if they dont im way to clumsy to get a decent photo.
The focus box was on the snakes head but it still focused on the background I would never pick up a snake to take a photo that would be illegal.

I like your pic boa its actually good and shows the beauty of the snake. Do you find them that colour often? This is the only one i have seen that colour in my yard out of all that i have seen. I have actually seen more of the blue and white ones(still only 2).

It is a common(aka green) tree snake (dendrelaphis punctulata) a harmless frog snacking colubrid.

no need for apologies.

I actually saw it first crusin around the pond and went to grab my camera and found it climbing a tree near by when they freeze you can get as close as you want usually.

Here is a pic of some of the food on offer. Can you spot them all?

Nice gts I would love to get one, one day.
Cris how many are there I can only see one.

I can see 3 frogs of 2 species(there could be more that i havnt seen). One is on the large bamboo leaf in the left of the picture and partly invisable from the sunlight.
