I've only had my bluey a short time and he has shedd, it was a pretty rough shed I had to help with the end of his tail and top off his head also one of his legs didn't she'd properly.
The thing is he is leg is now swollen and looks like there is a split down his forarm between the scales but hasent broken the skin. He can move his leg fine its just his foot which is not right I'm hopeing its just the swelling and he will get full mobility back.

try gently bathing him in water to help shed the rest of his leg/ foot. if he doesn't shed and his lig/foot doesn't get better take him in to the vet.

are you sure he has not hurt his leg on something in the enclosure or had a fall?

I've had a pretty close look I don't think there is any shed left on there, I will still soak his leg for a bit just to make sure though. He is just in a tank with a water bowl, Cave/cup and eucalyptus wood chips. I'm currently making his proper enclosure it's nearly done just need one more clear coat and then run it for a couple days.

Sounds good Snowballz. Keep an eye on it as it will probably be a recurring problem from now on.

Just an update if any one cares, after about an hour of soaking and rubbing my partner was able to remove excess shed, turned out he didn't shed his entire foot. Fingers crossed he can recover the proper use of his foot/toes

If anyone cares? On this forum, you're surrounded by reptile fanatics. Of course we care! :D

I'm glad to hear you managed to get the remaining shed off the lil fella's foot. We'll be hoping right along with you, that he regains full use of his foot and toes. Keep us updated?

Omg didn't mean it that way. Was more of a shout out for people that were waiting for an update.
I can see that every body on here cares for there reps 100% I feel so slack for possibly causing a permenant injury to my first rep. I nearly didn't post for advise as I have been ripped before on other forums about my fish and birds. Thumbs up to the Herp community.

glad it work, thought it would be that. i own 5 blueys and my eldest is going through shed right now and she needs help with her back every time.

the reason his foot/ leg would have swelled would have been due to old shed being tight around his leg and constricting it. remeber this for the future as it sometimes tends to re-occur in the same area.

thx for the advise, I think I'm going to be extra vigilant from now on with ol' blue and all future reps.

Final update, Red had a shed a couple days ago all came of I think because since moving into the larger enclosure he has been much more active and digging under the eucalyptus mulch.
Also his leg is almost back to normal, his toes are more clawing now not just flat open minimal scaring where the skin split.
